I was blown away at how good my $50 SOMIC V2's sounded. I actually prefer using them un-amped over more expensive headphones like Sennheiser HD558 and Massdrop X Sennheiser HD 58X with DAC/AMP. The V2 acoustics are just soooo good.

I'm listening to the Status Audio OB-1 Open Back Studio Monitor Headphones right now. They are great for $59.00 but if Massdrop can organize a drop with Status Audio, maybe the price will be even more unbelievable.

I did not think the Phillips SHP9500 was still in production. In my opinion, it was the best sounding "inexpensive" headphone.
