I have done quite a bit of research on upgrades for the Traxxas Slash 4x4. From that I have found the Castle Creations Mamba Monster 2 25V Extreme Car Esc Waterproof and a 2200 Kv motor is the most extreme upgrade for it. You will have to adjust the gearing etc. $204.00 from Amazon is cheaper than Castle's website but I wanted to see if we could get a better price from Massdrop. I had to add two to this vote so I added the 1415-2400KV version. From my research I know the 2200Kv will work. Let me know if you have questions and or have more info!

IBNetManMamba Monster X coming soon, please hang in there! The X is the same dimensions as the Monster 2, so it will fit, but now has a sensor port, additional programming features. and new data logging!

IBNetManIBNetman, YOU ARE VERY WELCOME! Working on pricing for the X, please keep in mind there are quite a few new features that the MM2 does not have and the X does, so they will be very close in price but the extra value for the feature difference is very large and very worth it!

DaveHoffOne thing to keep in mind, We need to make sure the motor fits the Slash 4x4 that was sold here at Massdrop as I have done my research on that drop and only found the Mamba Monster 2 25V waterproof and the 2200Kv motor compatible even though it was for a 1/8th. If Massdrop can compete with a $200.00 price or better then that would be AWESOME! Now for this "sensor port, additional programming features. and new data logging!" We/I can do reserach on what is normally sold, We will need full specs to be able to tell if the X or the 2 is worth the extra money. $200 more, kinda need to know FULL SPECS. I have seen Massdrop recent on a lot of products not be able to provide that. With the money involved, the amount of differences, etc. Please provide MAX information.
