I've always been a fan of the HTC Vive and I can't wait to get my hands on one. Although, The oculus rift is a good runner up for entry level VR, and with their recent addition to add input similar to the Vive's handpieces I am interested in seeing where they go next!

Seriously after their changes to warranty fck HTC. BTW. Their pricing is laughable. They made pretty much 0 progres when it comes to new Vive (a little better screens -oh wow. What a shame that 600$ smartphone still has higher PPI ratio and a lenses of the same quality you can find in Samsung Gear (only it costs maybe 50 Euro new).
almost 3000 votes, and not coming anytime soon :(
I've used the rift and it's pretty boring. I see the potential, but the screen door effect is too much of a big deal to me. Being able to see the individual pixels beyond slight aliasing is a problem to me. This technology needs to be refined significantly before I'm actually willing to invest myself, but if enough of you buy it, then they'll improve the technology and then I'll jump on the bandwagon.
Would be awesome if Vive did get cheaper. I know a bunch of people missed out on the black friday sale. I already have one, but still voting for it. Needs more people to multiple with.
This drop will never happen lol

Keep hope alive!
(yeah, probably not)
I've had my Rift since July, and I still couldn't be happier with it. It's sad to me that people still seem to not be seeing the potential of VR; anyone I've actually let tried it (including the unenthusiastic) have been absolutely floored by it. I'm rather happy to be an early adopter :)
As someone who has tried both, nothing tops the Vive. Also don't worry about the "killer app." It's expensive, but as someone who owns a vive, the "killer app" is the vive itself. No matter what I'm doing in it, painting in 3d, playing a war game, or fighting off zombies, it's amazing and needs to be experienced. If you're on the fence try and find a demo at a store, you will not be disappointed. It's a spectacular experience.
VR gaming still has no killer app. As an early adopter I would warn anyone e dropping cash on this to wait and see what happens once the novelty wears off. Literally no one is talking about VR after launch. I work at one of the large software houses / brands and if we aren't talking about it, it's probably going to wither on the vine IMO. 3000+ computer nerds can't be wrong lol.
Rip oculus rift. Try not being assholes next time Facebook

Well hey now, you can't expect them to change their entire business model!
