I have been using the Thompson Suspension System for over a year and I like it. My old Horn cabinet has nowhere to place clamps but I have always had a table behind my machine to support the quilt and the clamps are affixed to it. I have limited floor space on the sides of my cabinet so the setup I have works well. It’s also easy to use at workshops where generally everyone is set up on long tables with no floor space on the side but that’s not an issue with the Thompson System. I just clamp to the back of the table and get sewing.
