My vote is for the dragon fusion. Simply because it's not something I can easily get around here. A victorinox no brainer regular knife is sold pretty much everywhere and often on sale somewhere. They're great value, but I want something a little more special from massdrop :)
By the way: does anyone know what is up with that German vg 10 chefs knife in the poll? It sounds German, but doesn't look German at all. It looks like a bunch of Chinese tried to make a Japanese/western fusion chef knife and it turned out to be neither really? That heel is shaped weird and there does not seem to be a lot of finger space. A German knife would really have more space between handle and board since we Europeans can have chunky fingers ;p

RuudhI own 2 Apogee Dragon Fusion knives. 1 is used 7 days a week for nearly 4 hours a day chopping cooked steak and chicken. For the last 2 months about. Still nearly as sharp as day one. The other is a backup when I need to sharpen the used one.
As for the Sternsteiger, I am awaiting a knife or two from them for trying out. I wouldn't rule them out yet. I have their shears they sold on MassDrop and they are very well made and just impressive. I am hoping their knives are just as well made and sharp as the scissors I have. Most of us are still on the fence in regard to them. I think people are voting for it because of the price. But who knows.

BrainFlushOh cool. So the dragon fusion is a good pick obviously!? Very curious what you will think of the sternsteiger. I just think the design is a little weird and am doubtful if it is a good design. Only one way to find out of course ;).
