delnerdoSeriously, check it out. 1000 fp down (rated quite honestly) 4.8 ounce (135 g) total weight packs down into a 3.9 x 5.5-inch stuff sack. https://montbell.us/products/disp.php?p_id=2301460 https://www.montbell.us/special/products/plasma/
If that’s out of the UL park, consider also their EX Light Down Anorak: 900 fp, 6.2 oz. (177 g), storage size 4.1 x 6.6 inches, with hood and kangaroo pocket https://montbell.us/products/disp.php?p_id=2301211

delnerdoThe plasma was on my wish list for a long time, but I've since decided to go with the MHGW. Here's why, if you take the fill power x fill weight of each jacket, the Ghost Whisperer should have 23% more loft volume . I snagged a Uniqlo down jacket for $35 which is cold below about 50-55F. I'm sure the Plasma would do better, but I'm just not willing to spend that amount of money only to find out I'm STILL cold.
In this review, https://www.switchbacktravel.com/reviews/mountain-hardwear-ghost-whisperer-hooded#table They state the GW was warmer than the Montbell Ex Light which has a hood but is otherwise in the same temperature rating on Montbell's product comparison chart. If I had money to burn, I'd get the Plasma and the GW, but if I have to choose one, I'm personally learning warm not light.
Then again, if I could find something comparable that is simply available in tall sizes, I'd probably go with that.
