Wow. These polls can mislead someone so badly. It's like say what jumper is better? Do you go to the supermarket and say what's the best food to get for someone hungry? Looking at the fact that Canon and Nikon are on top by far, I'd say over 50% of the people voting aren't particularly into photography or know anything about the cameras. If you looked online and checked with professionals and reviewers what was the best or most popular cameras for everyday use, they would without a doubt tell you Fujifilm/olympus and Sony. I can't remember the last time a photographer enthusiast had shown any interest whatsoever in a Nikon or a Canon. If you don't sit in a ball of ice in the middle of Antarctica waiting for Narwhal to breach the water or shoot sport dont the worry about Nikon or canon. Also if you want to enjoy using the camera in its own right, get a Fujifilm or Olympus.
