I don't recommend the QC35. MDR-1000x is much better, mostly in the, build and materials, especially the headband pad. The 1000x has a faux leather headband whereas the QC35 uses alcantara.
I have heard great things about the Bose QC35 and I have tried my friend's QC25 and the noise cancellation blew me away. I was confused and amazed at the power of it. I was on a loud sport team bus with other's playing loud music out of an Amp and I could only hear the faintest bit of their music.
