Phottix Mitros+ is supposed to be great with Sony. If we could get them at a sizeable discount - like $250 I'd probably go in for a pair. Or if Massdrop can get them at a larger discount if everyone agrees to a pair that would work too. $600 for a pair maybe?

RyanFromGDSEThanks Ryan for contributing. Just curious, what do you like Phottix Mitros+ flashes over the Godox which I've read nothing but good things about? Any features or just a solid brand you prefer? This will be my first flash/wireless flash so any advice would be appreciated. Also, BH has the combo not too far from your price. I'm hoping with a Massdrop community we can get the combo at 500 tops if it's a better system over the Godox. See https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1279527-REG/phottix_mitros_ttl_transceiver_flash.html where it's $609.

FrankyI'm new to the world of Flash as well but my understanding is the Phottix Mitros+ has the radio receiver and transmitter built-in. The Godox has a radio receiver built-in, but the transmitter is a separate unit that clips into the side. As far as which is better or not I'm really not sure. Good reviews can be had for either one. Here's a really good review of the Phottix, he's done a bunch on the tech:

-- I checked to see if he's done any on Godox and hasn't.
Be careful though because the link you did for the Phottix "combo" you included is for a Transmitter/Receiver and a Flash, not two Flashes. The Flash already has a transmitter/receiver built-in to it.
For the money that Godox does look and sound like a more affordable alternative
