You people do know that the MacBook and the Macbook Pro start at the same price but the Pro absolutely destroys it spec wise, hell I'd even go for an Air before I went for the MacBook

I used to be the biggest Apple fanboy (it's hard NOT to be after you've seen a Mac disassembled - those PCBs are works of ART, all those little SMD components laid out in circular or polygonal patterns like city blocks from the air -), but they are really going in a weird direction. I don't think my next computer will be a Mac.
As someone who sells apple products, I can tell you that apple doesn't give discounts on anything. There prices are very firm and even when you see a sale on stuff that are one or two generations old its typically at most ~$50 off. Which is nice for resale value if you're someone who likes to update their setup every other generation, you can make most of your money back and buy the latest generation product. Not so good if you're looking to buy new at a sale price, just wont happen and the little money you might save it's not worth waiting.

lol no it won't. stop deluding yourself.
in case you are completely oblivious, apple has a large retail presence. why would they need to resort to fulfilling group orders from a niche online middleman and lose money when they can sell much more volume at their apple stores for MSRP?
Lmao. Apple is never going to work with massdrop. That's like asking for Louis Vuitton at a Wal-Mart.

While your point is correct, that comparison is faulty on so many layers... xD
i think this is an amazing poll since it is new apple products and if it gets 200 votes maybe it will be cheaper since apple usually dosent put things on sale so make sure to get your vote on.
