You would have better luck being a student and using that discount, or if you know any Active Duty or Veterans and using their discount -both through the online store. Just google apple student/military discount and accept the agreement. It doesn't ask you to prove anything, but they state that they may ask for proof and if you are unable to show any, you're not going to have a good time. I'm a veteran, and when I bought my macbook (2012) I got about a five hundred dollar discount.
