Having formerly sold Brother Machines in the quilt shop where I worked, I'm not a fan of these offerings as they are made for selling at the big box stores and are not close to the quality sold by dealers. I would save your money a bit longer and get a machine that is going to stand the test of time. If you are a serious sewist you will not be pleased with these in the long run. This machine is made primarily of resin or plastic insides as opposed to the more solid metal insides of a Brother machine from the dealer. If you are a smart shopper you can find a good deal through your local dealer.
