The only issue I see with a drop for caselabs stuff is all of the configuration options available when you order these cases. For most people the base set up is not what they want / need for their build. If you have any water cooling you are basically guaranteed to need special config options for the radiator mounts.
Also window options, so many window options.

You make a very good point, but if we can get some form of base model, then its fine. I think MD can still do with the additional options for the cases. For instance, the Ti2 Pen had additional options for say +$50 for a black finish or the KeySmart 2.0 for +$12 you can get a Titanium finish rather than the base colour aluminum build.
I'm really interested in a MAGNUM SMA8 CaseLabs case. Hope you take notice dear Massdrop~
