I am going to have to close this poll as it is unlikely that we will be able to offer memory (or broadly PC components). Major computer electronic retailers like Newegg are large volume purchasers and given the small margins on these products, it is unlikely that we will be able to secure a price for the community that is better than what you can find from existing retailers.

Even if I could afford to drop this much on RAM to power an unnecessary amount of applications, I couldn't afford to build a rig around it!
It's a shame, I think, that the Dom Plats will most likely get the top vote, purely for the unnecessary bling and the bragging rights, thanks to the price. A low profile kit of same or greater gigawatts would be a more sensible drop from a price/performance perspective, imo.

Me too. corsair dom plats are such a worthless drop you can save more money than massdrop can finagle us by simply buying g.skill.
Honestly I wish people would stop buying domplats so they'd go out of business I mean they mark up all their kits by 200$ or so. I mean I just got 16 gb of 3000mhz g.skill for 320 and its 500 for 16gb of 2800 corsair? I mean What in the world justifies this BS

the green one, th cheapest one, wanted to have it at DDR3 pricing...

Theses just started to go on sale on market. i don't think the companies will be willing to make a drop on this. Plus i don't think we can buy enough sets like the big stores to make it worth it to make a drop on this.
