I guess maybe the only advantage of Gunnars is that you can use them with consoles/without software at all, but even then imo they look silly and I don't understand them. I've used a pair before and it's just meh.
I've been using the Crystalline lenses from Gunnar (clear ones) for about a year now for retouching/photography work and they definitely help a lot with eye strain. The only issue with them is they give off the very slightest magenta tint, so I wouldn't recommend doing color critical work with these on.
