We'd love to list graphics cards, SSDs, and CPUs. Tons of people vote for them, they're expensive, and I can't tell you how much I want to take over the high-end PC parts industry (bless gaben).
Sadly, since these products require such MASSIVE amounts of R&D, manufacturers keep their prices as high as possible so they can continue to take in as much money as possible to fund their awesome research.
As such, there's no room for Massdrop pricing.
GPUs cannot drop due to the nature of the market. Generally speaking, casing manufacturers (such as EVGA) buy chips in bulk from the chip manufacturers (AMD/NVIDIA) and sell the cards cased at a very low profit margin. In fact, such a low profit margin that it would be more expensive to case the card yourself even if you bought bare chips in the bulk they do since aftermarket casing is very expensive. The only way to get a real deal on a GPU is to buy excess stock of generation old cars which are sold at a loss to clear shelf space.
Are GPU drops even possible, all things considered? I've read that they aren't, and I've seen at least one poll where the GPU option was disabled.
