arik100Bass. The 80e has a bit of a bassier tuning.

arik100I've been eyeing Grados for some time, but figuring out the differences between models was driving me crazy. So I put together a table of all the models, listed in order of MSRP, detailing the design differences I could ferret out.

arik100The SR80 model is a clearly distinguishable upgrade from the 60e. The 125s and later do improve after that, but you're getting into diminishing returns on value for the dollar. The SR80e cans hit the sweet spot for quality and price.

OldScotchYou should try all of the Prestige headphones and RS1. I felt SR60i, SR80i, and SR125i are mediocre options at their regular prices. SR225i was a better deal. Diminishing returns hits Grados hard after SR225i. The 'e' series isn't going to be a day-and-night improvement by a longshot, so the same trend will surely apply.
