dsalish, please tell me what the differences in TL2200QVP Mini and the TL-2010Q. My friend recommended the later, but is the TL2200QVP better?

the TL2200QVP is only sold thru dealers. I have not seen the spec sheet but I am told that the motor is more robust. However you will be paying close to full price and almost twice as much. For me the difference in the motors was not significant enough to warrant a double the price difference. The industrial juki machines are significantly more robust. These are machines used in factories and get 8-16 hours of use every day continuously. The DLN5410 has an oil bath that the machine sits in the DLN9010 has an enclosed bath system for lubricating the hook assembly and other parts. The DLN models are what is called a NEEDLE FEED system...vs the DDL models which are drop feed (the same as a home machine) There are pros and cons to both model types, it depends on what you are sewing as to which to get. The time line for the DLN models is DLN415 was a very early model (I am not sure what preceded that) followed by the DLN5410 and now the DLN9010 which is the same model head type as the DDL9000 series machines. These are NOT portable. They are very heavy physically and very heavy duty machines designed to withstand a lot of use. The industrial Juki machines sew at 5000 spm vs the home models which sew at 1500spm. But if you are doing quilting and alterations you won't need the really fast speed anyway. I currently have the DLN9010 and have limited the speed to 3500, I just don't need to go any faster than that because you cannot control it. Those speeds are for factory workers sewing long seams like sheets etc. I hope this answers your questions, feel free to ask any more if you desire.
I have this machine and I love it, use it for quilting and piecing, can't imagine being without it. Not one flaw or compliant. All I can say is get one!
This sounds like a great portable machine that provides industrial quality stitching! I have an older model Juki DDL industrial machine, and I love it. I'd love to try one of these newer TL 's to see how it compares! Does anyone notice the vibrations are too much for a standard desk ? I really like the heavy table that my Juki came with, so I can sew fast but not shake the machine off the surface....

I have the DLN9010 and have owned the DLN5410 in the past. These machines are very heavy so very little or no vibrations. The portable TL2010Q is also a nice machine but it lacks the large harp space of the industrial. I have done alterations, custom bags and clothing on both. I have my 2010 up for sale on Craig's list, it served me well but I missed my industrial

Dsalish, can you also tell me the difference between DLN9010 and DLN5410 and the TL2010Q?
Yes this is my next machine
Thank you for the update, Sandy. Bummer!
Hi All,
We have reached out to Juki and they are still unwilling to work with the community. We will continue to check in with them regularly. Keep voting because it does help the vendors know how much the community is interested in their products!

Has anyone received an update from Massdrop now that we've reached 200+ votes? I'm sure it takes some time to work with manufacturers, but I noticed a couple other polls for these machines with 200+ votes that didn't seem to go anywhere. Of course, I'm new to Massdrop so maybe I just don't know what to look for.
Just bought this machine and love it!
I'm holding off buying one to see how well Massdrop can do. They just saved me quite bit on a set of headphones for my son.
I want one'
i like it would love to try
