Hi.... I already own the Rowenta and the Petite Press Iron.
The Rowenta is awesome! I use it on a table to the left of my sewing machine. It's *hot* but because of it's size, it doesn't throw alot of heat like a full size iron does. So I like it for that. Also a nice size to take to sew-in days, etc. If it comes up on a good price, I'll buy a second one for my RV.
The other one is OK. I originally bought it to use next to my sewing machine - but I haven't touched it since I got the Rowenta. Could easily live without it.

RipStitcherRipStitcher - Do you find your Rowenta leaks? I have it, and it leaked so badly it completely ruined the finish on my table - leaked right through the tabletop ironing board. Maybe I ended up with a dud? Anyway, I use it as a dry-iron, and dry it works pretty well!

sahmTo be honest with you, I don't use the steam function with this one - so can't answer that. I mostly avoid using steam to keep the heat factor down in my area. Instead, I have two spray bottles - one with Best Press and one with water - near each one of my pressing machines or areas... and another set of smaller bottles in the bag that goes with me if I sew somewhere else.
