the NCV3.1-16 is a great clock, one that I plan on buying as it is 78 out the door, tubes and all. It also measures temperature oddly, here is a direct link to the product: http://tubehobby.com/show_det.php?det=57
I do love the IN-18, but I frankly do not want to spend the time sourcing tubes for it, if tubes are included, it is my top choice.
While easy, they are not entirely cost effective to do so, especially the IN-18's. I understand people love the large tubes, but the smaller kit, the NCV3.1-16 has tubes as well at the 78 dollar price and it is a true 5 tube from the looks of it. Don't get me wrong, I love the IN-18's but the kits are already expensive for them, 6 tubes will run a pretty penny on top of it all.
It's only a 4-digit display, though. I'd rather pay USS$40 more for their IN-14 kit (NCV2-1.14) with 6 digits and 18mm digit height. A full-display clock and larger digits, tubes included, for $122.99 (3 or more):

Yes, an IN-18 has twice as big digits again, but would cost at least three times as much with new tubes.
The Sven is nice, but the IN-18 tubes are just too sexy. I would much rather vote for the in-18. I would 100% get the kit. I want the in-18 now while prices are still reasonable. Eventually the prices will get ridiculous.
We would be able to do this drop if we sourced everything but the tubes. If you do a little research you'll find that the tubes are fairly rare and command a price that can't be discounted due to the limited supply.
