Office Designs supposedly does group discounts. So maybe Herman Miller the company itself does not do that http://www.officedesigns.com/customer-care/purchasing/#whybuy
Absolutely love my herman miller Embody good luck guys
The leap used to be $500-$600 what happened? Wish I had bought it back then. Then my back would be in better shape. Where are the ratings for comfort and time able to spend getting tasks done in these chairs?
If we go with either of the Herman Miller chairs, how much customizability would there be?
Pretty sure this is the fourth time I've participated in one of these votes, and yet we still haven't seen a drop on a single ergonomic chair. So Again, the Leap is the best product available for a large variety of people. Why is this? Because it is extremely adjustable. The Aeron has multiple models because of how it is designed, which is pretty lame in the event you don't get the correct one. The embody has major issues for anyone who is taller than about 5' 8". The Leap can be had for around 600-700 dollars if you can find it at a wholesaler, or know a company that has the power to order multiples and it's way better for a larger variety of body types and heights because it is so adjustable (specifically adjustable lumbar support).
Let's look at some reviews:
The Embody: US $1200, 4/5 with 27 reviews - http://www.amazon.com/Embody-Chair-Herman-Miller-Adjustable/dp/B003M6JYEW
The Aeron: US $900, 3.5/5 with 88 reviews - http://www.amazon.com/Embody-Chair-Herman-Miller-Adjustable/dp/B003M6JYEW (NOTE THAT THERE ARE MULTIPLE MODELS, I only linked one)
The Leap: US $919, 4/5 with 50 reviews - http://www.amazon.com/Steelcase-Leap-Fabric-Chair-Black/dp/B006H1QYBA

Note that the second link had over 2000 votes with no update from Massdrop staff regarding working with any of these companies to try and reach a deal. If anyone knows a wholesaler who can get me a leap for less than MSRP let me know, I'm tired of waiting and voting in these polls with no movement.

The Gesture is actually a better chair than the Leap, everyone I've talked to has said it's a better chair, and the price is only $50 more MSRP when it has all of the adjustment options on both chairs. I actually was just chatting with smartfurniture dot com and they told me "if I get 100 friends they'll do a volume discount" I'm pretty sure it was half jokingly but honestly if they are contacting Steelcase or HM directly I could see why this isn't getting done.

For that price you'd be better off with an Ergohuman.
