I have a bad feeling about this one. People are going to get blinded unless some huge warning sign gets posted on the page.
I'm looking into this, we may be able to source an alternative to Wicked Lasers that looks very similar in form factor.
Any laser listed on Massdrop will have to meet US import requirements, which does mean that we cannot exceed 5 mW versions.
Please do not expect us to list a 2000 mW laser. They are both illegal and highly dangerous, since you can incur serious eye damage just by looking at the dot on a wall. This is makes it a significant threat both for the operator of the laser as well as people unfortunate enough to be near an amateur laser operator.
If I am unable to get a lock on a really cool looking laser pointer that has 5mW output by the end of the month, I am going to close this poll.

Can you cite where it actually states that anything over 5mw is illegal to own in the US? After spending the past hour trying to locate said regulation, I've yet to see where it is in fact law, the assumption that over 5mw is against the law is quite prevalent, but I'm not seeing any statue that has in fact been pasted into law.

Read this - http://www.accessdata.fda.gov/scripts/cdrh/cfdocs/cfcfr/cfrsearch.cfm?fr=1040.10
The short version is - Lasers are fine to be over 5 mW as long as they aren't "Laser Pointers". These clearly are, and since it's highly unlikely that this group is going to be happy with a 5 mW laser, I'm actually going to close this poll.
How has this not gotten a drop yet?
Random thought: A good idea for a drop like this is to include safety goggles.

At least on the WL site, goggles are included with all lasers. That should apply here, should it not?
Should get the lasersaber mod added to this. Edit: Added to options.
When it comes to light, "most powerful" is not just about the watts–it's about the wavelength. A blue laser is great, but a violet laser has more powerful photons. If you want to fry something with a laser, 405 nm light (violet) is much more strongly absorbed than blue light. And violet light makes fluorescent stuff glow.
the laserglow has a note on the site about not being allowed to ship to the US.
Just FYI, S3 arctic is $300 MSRP
put up the price in MSRP
Please let the artic win, the thing looks BA.
