Oliso TG1600 Pro Smart Iron

Oh no! I got on the computer to order the iron and it was already completed. Will there be another chance to buy one soon?
My 25yr old Black & Decker cheapo model died about 4 months ago (it was a wedding gift and was a trooper. We had a nice funeral for her. ), and since I'm more into sewing and using an iron more I ended up going with a Rowenta. Didn't get top of the line but didn't get bottom either and I love it. Works like a dream, great steam control, no leaking issues and nice and light compared to my old one. I just wish I knew about MassDrop sooner and my old one lasted a little bit longer. I would have loved to have had this iron because I really wanted it but couldn't spend that kind of money at that time and I needed one. I can't justify buying a new one after barely 4 months.

Hi Blueturtle! That is so funny you has a little funeral for your loyal iron. I can't believe it lasted so long! I had a B&D but it broke in only a few months. I have another low-priced model now, bit I can't wait to upgrade to the Oliso. Quilters really put a lot of strain on their irons, so its no wonder so many of them end up failing. Oliso has a warranty, plus the Pro is designed especially for quilters, so I'm assuming the chances of it failing are low. Plus, my wrists are going to be really happy using the iTouch feature instead of having to lift the iron up and down.
Here's the story everyone, we're good to go with Oliso, but we can't launch it on the site until June 23rd. They want to make sure they have lots of inventory so that everyone's orders can be shipped as soon as the buy ends. Start saving up :)

Will do!
159.99 with free shipping from overstock.com
Oliso's asking me about competitive pricing, I'm pretty sure the Pro Iron costs $170-$200 across the board, anyone know of better deals for the TG1600? I want to make sure that we get it on Massdrop for the best price possible!

Uh yeah.... that'll get some quilters excited!
I would definitely be in for $135, upgrade my $15 dollar Walmart iron!
We met with Oliso today at our office (our offices are 15 minutes away from each other) and saw their iron's and vacuum sealers. They were impressed with the number of votes on this poll and love to see the community's support. I'll be finalizing details and pricing with them later next week, fingers crossed we get the go-ahead and can launch the irons soon!

Oh my goodness, can't wait to see what kind of a deal you can get!
I have a Rowenta and Oliso Pro at home, my Rowenta leaks but I love the weight of it, the Oliso hasn't had any problems yet. I've read a lot of reviews and it seems like 2-3% of irons fail, of every brand. It's just a lot more disappointing when it's a $150 Rowenta/Oliso versus a $30 B&D...
I imagine they fail because there's a lot of wattage going through the device so any tiny imperfections in the engineering will easily cause a failure.
In terms of warranties, we cover the manufacturers warranties with repairs or replacements if you experience any problems.
The iTouch for the Oliso PRO takes a while to get used to, but is cool once you get the hang of it. Also the 30 minute auto-shut-off is really handy!
I've used many on this page, and that black and decker is the best combination of steam, light weight, heats up fast and price. Never leaks , cleans easy.
Great news Mark!
Hey everyone, we're meeting with Oliso this Wednesday to see if we can carry their quilting irons and/or vacuum packers! I'll let you know how things go as soon as we hear from them. We also hired a crafting buyer, she recently got back from Quilt Market and we'll have lots of great/cool stuff coming up in June. Stay tuned!

Sigh! Now that you have more than guy stuff, I'll have to check Massdrop every day! ;-)
If you like steam, reliable is the one for you! No leaking or spitting.
Rowenta only leaks if overfilled

Mine leaked no matter what level of water it had in it. Rowenta also has crappy customer support and doesn't honor warranties.
