Strange that you proposed the first edition of the HD598 and not the SE release. The absence of the small connectix cable on the rev 1 is a real bummer.
My vote is for the ATH, 900x or 700x. That wide sound stage is incredible for precise directional audio. I can tell every direction enemies are coming. I have yet to hear a set of headphones with better directional audio. So accurate. My buddy has the 598s and after he tried my ATH 700x, he was blown away. We play competitive counter-strike.
I'm running the 700x on a soundcard that runs ~100$. I will try using external dac/amp soon.
I'd also like to note that the Sennheiser HD 598's are NOT under $150, at least not anymore, from the only company that would be able to send a bulk buy: http://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-HD-598-Over-Ear-Headphones/dp/B0042A8CW2
Ok, as GiuseppeAndrei said, most of these ARE NOT gaming headsets. Yes, they CAN be used for it, as can ANY headphone. The difference here is that 90% of the time, when something is SOLD as a gaming headset, it has a MICROPHONE.
So while they CAN be used for gaming, they're not what the poll is looking for, because the budget is $150, and ONE product, not "a headset for $150 and a mic".
In fact, the only ones that SHOW a mic are the QPAD ones, and (regardless of the fact that it was me who submitted them) that's what the poll is looking for.
Vote for AKG K612 PRO, those are amazing headphones! I already have 1 pair but they are so good i want another for future!

This isn't a personal chance for you to get headphones for cheap, it's a poll, answer it honestly, not just which one you want to have a sale on. They're not for gaming.
Ok, not to sound like a wise guy or anything, but these aren't really "gaming" headphones. Also saying gaming headphones is rather pointless, since most of the time they're just headphones with support for virtual surround.
These are either studio headphones or just good headphones for home use, mostly music. Not that there's anything wrong with that. They're actually considerably better than most gaming gear, but these need a good sound card or a dedicated amp to really shine.

Then where's the mistake? The list is called "Sub $150 open gaming headphones", I simply mentioned that they're not "Gaming headphones", but they are headphones that work well for gaming.

Yup, you're right. Didn't read the second paragraph there, sorry about that haha.
