This would be a potential really cool way to get TAD to up production for the Axiom 24 and EDC (yet-to-be-released redesign).
I'm aiming to buy a Maxpedition Falcon-II soon if this succeeds or not. It's the perfect size for a travel day pack, among other uses. Spot for a laptop, hydration bladder, organizer, and other random pockets in a compact pack. Then I can use those D-ring attachment points on the straps to snap it to the front of my main pack when it's time to move out.

I have a Maxpedition Falcon-ii. It's a nice bag with all the Molle I could want, a hydration bladder pocket, and an OK assortment of pockets. The colors they have are really ugly though and the fabric of the bag itself is really stiff though, so I got it in black. At around ~$130 it's definitely a lot more affordable than the TAD bag. I wish someone would make a similar backpack with waxed canvas.
I work for local gov't so in the event of a disaster, we're required to become aid workers. I pack for the possibility that I might not go home for a while.
So in addition to my laptop, power supply, notepad, and pen. I also carry:
* A trauma kit for active shooter scenarios * Empty hydration bladder + Aquamira drops * USB Battery * Oppo HA-2 Headphone Amp * AudioTechnica ATH-M50x * Double magazine pouch for a 16oz water bottle * Clif Bars and Gel shots to munch on * Titanium Spork * Prometheus Beta-QRv2 Nichia 219b flashlight * Yaesu IC-T70A w/ External Antenna + Headset + AA Battery Adapter ***note*** the radio is important here, I've got local HAM repeaters programmed in that have autopatch which allows me to make calls on a land line through my handheld transceiver. This is important in power outage situations where local cellular access points go to low power mode and reduce the amount of incoming and outgoing connections they make.
"Tactical" what is this pointless word even supposed to refer to. every time i see it here i cannot help but feel like i am reading something by a child.
Fastpack Litespeed is an awesome pack. Still kicking myself for not picking one up the last time I was in the shop and they had them out. Grrr.

I've read that TAD customer support sucks and I dont want to support companies that run limited batch release business plans knowing the bulk go to resellers gaming resale market. I might go with the GR0 because they're in stock, American made, and have awesome customer service. I do like that the Datsusara Battlepack Mini is made of hemp, is antimicrobial, and has pockets to hold a big canteen, though. Serveral guys I know that train MMA or BJJ also swear by the Datsusara gear.
I want a new daypack that's less than 22L in size that I can EDC to work, built tough, and worthy of Jack Bauer's back. I know he rocked a messenger bag on 24, but they aren't my style and hurt my back.

I threw down the Maxpedition Pecos Gearslinger as a contender even though it's 24L. I feel that it's a true EDC bag since it comes with an optional load bearing belt and is sling stabilized. As it so happens, backpacks, especially weighty ones, like for backpacking, that hold 30-50lbs should be putting 90% of their weight on your waists anyway. It recently came down in price since it was selling for over 225, but maxpedition decided to cancel the entire line.
Their loss is our gain. XD
