iFixit 2016 Pro Tech Toolkit

I've got a set of the ifixit tools. They all feel cheap. Wouldn't recommend. 0/10
I have owned the iFixit Pro toolkit since 2008 and there is one very serious issue that people should be aware of before purchasing it. The kit is fantastic, however if you are working with a screw that is very tight, this screwdriver makes it damn near impossible to remove. The actual screwdriver is quite thin and has next to no grip other than the three small rubber rings which actually squish and twist on the driver if you try to grip it hard. On many occasions, I have actually resorted to slipping the bits into a corded drill to remove a tight screw since there is no adapter to fit the small bits included on a standard screwdriver for more grip. I know it's not an everyday issue, especially if you don't over torque your screws, but it can be quite annoying when it does happen.

It's possible that this kit has changed over the years (even since I got mine they switched the little grabber for a knife).
1) The screwdriver extension doubles as a T-handle by sliding through a hole in the screwdriver. I'll often just start removing the screw with it in place and then slide it out for easy spinning.
2) There is an included adapter to 1/4" which works to use these bits in a standard screwdriver, should you need that. I don't know about the practical implications of using this in a power tool, but given how small a lot of the bits are, I'd be worried about destroying something. Perhaps I'm just shy after stripping numerous screws with incorrectly sized bits (before I got this kit, obviously =)
@cinderous is correct that the rubber rings really aren't all that great. They're something to grab, but you have to squeeze pretty hard for them to do any good. The screwdriver has a rotating tailpiece with a very smooth bearing, though, so if you've got the screw free, it's very easy to spin it out.
I've been trying to work with iFixit for a while now, and they have expressly told me that they aren't interested in working with the Massdrop community. I'm going investigate alternative brands, and I will see if we can find something to answer this poll.!
Feel free to suggest other sets as well =)
I have one of these already and I do have to say that its a great toolkit! I would love to have a second one for the car for when I am on site working.
I've been thinking of getting one of their more fully fledged toolkits for a while. It looks like they're already on sale for $65, but maybe massdrop can work some magic to make a better deal or add in more stuff to make a more complete kit.
Anybody who is getting this stuff should also have an anti-static mat. Then it's only a matter of time until I need a heat gun and one of those bean bags to pry open something that's glued together. I have a wall that could use one of their 11x17 prints of their manifesto...
