1. can someone please remove the duplicates?
2. trail running + ul backpacking shoes are two different things entirely and making this poll into a yard sale
my votes are going in for trail running shoes, meant to run fast with minimal drop carrying nearly nothing. You might use those for fastpacking too, but not for UL backpacking, which should be a different poll.
octavecatI can't remove duplicates, but rest assured that we look at the combined numbers when sourcing products. Also, for older polls like this, we'll also consider the model line rather than just the model (for example, there is the Lone Peak 2.5, so we'll try to get the Lone Peak shoes, not just the 2.5 version). Hope this helps!
As for a combined poll, I think it's fine to keep it, as I know there are a lot of people who only use one shoe for both activities of trail running and hiking (myself included). It doesn't preclude you or someone else from making polls specific to trail running, or to hiking, which I'm fairly certain that those polls already exist.
DannyMilksA nice feature to have here would be to downvote. Submissions downvotes past a threshold and then collapsed and not shown by default. Reddit has ruined me here a bit because it's so much more democratic to also "vote things off the island"... Looking at you Lems Boulder Boot and Oboz Sawtooth.
At the very least you could have some additional moderator controls to filter out options that clearly don't fit with the vote.
