I recently got this headset, and wow is it good. My only issue is when certain people talk on discord, I can hear a really high pitched ringing. I fiddled with a bunch of settings, computer audio and discord, and nothing seems to solve the issue. It is primarily if not all in my right ear only. Is there something wrong with my headset, or was that ringing always there I can just hear it cause the headset is THAT good? I haven't had any issues with any other application, though I have yet to test if I can hear the ringing on a different version of discord, say on my xbox instead of my pc. Only other issue I've had is occasional static, but I can't tell if it's from the headset or the show/game/etc.
Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings,
Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. The replacement came, and the issue is still persistant, so I am not sure what the issue is
I've tried multiple different headsets and the issue is not with the port, and I also tried it with my windows laptop and...
Recommendation for my next headphone set? I have Koss 95x
Hey all,
What would you recommend I get next and why? I have Koss ESP-95x electrostatic massdrop headphones. These are my first and only audiophile set. I love them. I think my only real requirements is $500 or less for the headphones and that they have a little more low end. I don’t need thump but these are really light on lows…but the experience is still awesome.
Also any recommendations on an amp? I only have my electrostatic thingy. I am using the Topping D50 DAC.
thx!!
Hello!
I'm looking for recommendations on audio setups. I'd be planning on using it mostly for gaming. Preferably I'd like a pair of large closed back headphones since I have a big head and jaw. I'd also like to hear myself through my mic with mic monitoring. As far as budget goes, I don't really have one. But under 600$ would be nice. I can go higher if needed. The audio setup would be connected to a high performance PC.
Thank you in advance for any recommendations!
Trying to buy some gear off Drop for the first time. I was told I would receive an email with a welcome to drop $10 off promo. I never received that email. Drop was able to send me emails for my login token and email for Password update. But for some reason the $10 off coupon was never sent to me.
What would be a good portable Dac/Amp to use with my HD6xx and Sony Xperia 1 V cell phone?
I am new to this hobby. I purchased a HD6XX and plan to use it with my Sony Xperia 1 V cell phone, that has a 3.5mm jack. I was wondering if I needed a portable dac/amp or just a portable amp and if so what would one recommend? Any assistance one could provide, would be greatly appreciated.
Kind regards,
Haz
Hi... I'm a songwriter/producer. I have Drop Senn HD6xx HPs. I just bought a Topping L30 II SE HP amp to enhance my monitoring. It honestly sounds pretty good. The audio interface I'm using (an Audient iD22) has balanced outs. For those of you who've listened to the HD6xx using balanced amps and cables, do you think I should invest in that kind of setup to take advantage of the Senns potential?
I am having a problem with my PC38X with Xbox X. My first headset was and is the SteelSeries Arctis 7X+ and when playing online with others, they are able to hear me. When I switch over to the PC38X (plugged into the Xbox wireless controller), they are not able to hear me. I can switch back and forth between the two headsets, and they hear me immediately with the 7X+ and then can't hear me the second I switch over to the PC38X. The Xbox software shows in the controller settings that the headset mic is set to on, and I have mic monitoring turned all the way up and can hear myself talking into the mic. But even while hearing my mic'd voice say "Testing, can you hear me?" they tell me they can't. Is there anything I'm forgetting to set?
May be the wrong place to ask, but I have sort of dipped my toes into this by buying a pair of akg 240s as I saw that many musicians and some bassists enjoy these. I plugged them directly to my fender rumble 25's headphone out and my bass basically sounded like farts. Even with using another small guitar practice amp with a regular guitar, they sounded pretty odd. I am aware of bass headphone amps that plug directly into the instrument or to pedals etc. and i too am aware of audio interfaces that go into your pc and what not. For the time being i returned the akg headphones and got a cheap adapter that allows me to plug any 3.5mm jack headphones into my amp since i found that i can pull of the same fart effect with my existing headset and earbuds for considerably cheaper. I'm sure i strived pretty far from what the title/question is asking. So, what sort of setup do u guys recommend i invest in for a decent sound while practicing. Excuse me for the grammar and lack of knowledge.
Hi everyone.
My AudioQuest Nighthawks Earpads were not in good shape after 7 Years.
So i bought the SHEEPSKIN LEATHER ANGLED OVAL HEADPHONE MEMORY FOAM.
The Sound is still very good with them, but the treble get a little bit sharper and the Bass a little less. Maybe beacause they are angeld.
I miss the Sound with the Original Pads. Are there any good Pads that Sound like the Originals.
Maybe the Dekoni Audio Elite Sheepskin Replacement Ear Pads for AudioQuest Nighthawk?
THX for any answer.
I recently purchased EPOS PC38X to use with my Nintendo switch. I have it plugged in and sounds great. But I can't get the mic to work. Any suggestions?
Thank you
Just getting started into the audiophile, but im also a gamer so i need a headphone and mic now instead of a headset and thing are getting annoying, so i need a DAC and a AMP for my headphone but also a audio interface doing the ADC and phantom power for the mic...
and that annoy me that i need so many units (headphone, mic, boom arm, dac, amp, audio interface, hell the wires too...)
was wondering if there is any unit doing all of this in one AMP/DAC/ADC/PHANTOM POWER
i know there some dac/amp combo looking up the aune x1s, but the thing is i also got active speakers so i cant plug a dac/amp to active speakers right ?
i have the pc38x which i think from review and research that sound like the hd599 but with a wider sound stage and better imaging is that right ? im trying to find a headphone so reference could be nice, i know they probably dont sound similar but atm from the ones im looking into the Audio Technica ad2000x is the winner, the Hifiman 5xx so damn pretty and from z...
I just purchased a used Drop 02, and after plugging it in and connecting headphones, it just pluses and all audio cuts in and out. any help would be appreciated, Thanks.
I am currently using this dac (NuForce uDAC-3 DAC/Amp Combo | Audiophile | DACs | Amp Combo DACs | Drop). I'm starting look for something new and better than this one, I want to get a new pair of headphones and some nice new dac.
What would you recommend for me to buy, my budget is about 100$ for the dac.
Hello, I'm trying to get a pair of headphones from Drop shipped to a Swedish address, however, the area has non-latin characters (Ä, Ö, Å) And drop's shipping doesn't allow for these characters. How do I go about making sure that it correctly ships to the address, and doesn't fail to ship? It might be an obvious answer, but I'm not exactly sure, and would like to ensure it properly ships. Thank you for any help.
I currently use the HD 58X with the 7HZ 71 portable AMP/DAC. It works but I don't know how close to it's full potential. For some songs (rarely) the song sounds OK with the volume set to 40%, but usually 60% is the sweet spot (but sometimes, I need to crank it up even more, especially with metal songs). My friend who has the same headset, he has them connected directly to the motherboard. It's probably because he has a high-end mobo that the audio sounded better directly off his mobo (20% was enough to play most songs OK).
As I said in the title, I want a DAC/AMP combo because I want it to take less space and usually from what I saw online, they are cheaper than separate (but if we have anything good, worthy of going split, then why not). I plan in the future to get more premium headphones like the HD 8XX/800S/820 series (or a planar magnetic of the same price range).
They say that you don't see much difference (like less distortion and more power being delivered to each driver)...
i have the hyper x cloud 2 and I ordered the pc37x and now i thought about the cable its mot a usb and my pc is very old 7 years so the sound card would also be bad so i tried to use my hyperx cloud2 directly into the motherboard and sound was normal but the mic was awful was it only my hyperx or the pc37x would be terrible too?
