What the heck is happening to MD? This copy wouldn't pass the scrutiny of my 12 year old. They are deteriorating at a distressing rate.
"De Atramentis Standard Inks are formulated specifically for fountain pens and come in a wide range of seventy-two classic colors and bright hues. Color options are very limited."
I think they mean drop offerings are limited. I don't usually give away my work, but in this case, it should have said: "Although De Atramentis standard ink comes in seventy-two colors, options for this Drop are very limited."

It pisses me off as well. I cannot stand poorly-written English. It is unacceptable for a commercial website.

Are these inks wet while writing? Does somebody know? I'm a lefty and need inks drier as usual I'd say to not smurdge around.

I use deep blue hand lotion--it is one of those multi-level essential oil products doTerra. But before that I used arnica which you can get in stores, the doTerra deep blue works a lot better (smells lie wintergreen--very strong). Comes in hand cream and essential oil itself. I use the hand cream most of the time--more affordable. I get cramps and also have arthritis. When winter comes and the arthritis acts up I use the oil directly. Pricy but a little goes a long way.

MyMothersDaughterThanks for this, I'm definately going to look into it and try this. I only used "tiger balsm" from Thailand and it helped but smelled really strong. Good stuff :)

Another one of the packages has been released from customs. Based on tracking it should be in our warehouse later this week. The last package unfortunately, is still awaiting clearance from German Customs. Based on the rate at which the other packages were cleared, we expect it to be released shortly. We will make sure to update the group with a date of arrival once the order is on its way.
As soon as the group's complete order is in our warehouse, our team will be sure to prioritize it for shipment. Orders that are complete and in our warehouse will begin shipping and group members will receive tracking once their order is on the way.

To clear up any misconceptions: We're quite transparent about logistics issues, even when the news is bad. Many factors are within our control, but foreign customs procedures and the agents who enforce them are not on that list. We've had plenty of previous shipments from Germany pass through without incident, so this is not the kind of thing that we can take any measures to anticipate or avoid. Items in the Bazaar are typically offered at the same price as the lowest drop point from the most recent drop.
I'm sorry that this drop has caused you to feel that any deception is taking place here. I can assure you that is not anyone's intention or practice here at Massdrop. We'll keep working harder to improve the service and communication in hopes that will be clear.

JonasHeinemanI think most of us understand that Massdrop is doing it's level best to fulfill this drop. It's tough for some to wait. they should just cancel their order as Massdrop has offered to do.

Waterproof is very important to me because I use these in my journal and then paint over them with watercolors.

I really want to get in on this drop but I cannot seem to find swabs of the different ink colors without having to google the individual colors to see what they look like. Is there any chance of you guys adding a color chart for these inks?

You are confusing Massdrop with Amazon Prime.
Every retailer goes through this pain. The difference is that you have no purview into it. The item is either available or not and you won't know what happens in the logistics pipeline.
With Massdrop we are going through the entire buy cycle (warts and all) together.

While this drop may be taking awhile (i participated in 3 other drops after this and have received items of two already). Theey have done a great job of keeping us informed of the process. They have no control over how quickly De Antramentis ships, the courier or customs. Communications is key and they have done that. Time to keep being patience

I admit that I am a very impatient person. I have received items from two other drops that ended after this one. But that comes mostly from the company. I am glad we are finally getting somewhere though.

BullflyAt this rate I may get stuff from a drop that ended a couple days ago sooner than this drop. Though the updates have been nice, they have been incredibly vague, and don't really tell us anything, "sitting in customs" cold be bs for all we know, and if Massdrop is going to deal with companies like DA, or really if DA is going to deal with Massdrop, then they should be prepared to handle a bulk order like this, to the point that they have some number of each color they are willing to drop sitting around waiting for these drops so it doesn't take nearly this long. Over a month to wait is a tad ridiculous, no matter how "transparent" they have been.

Also, the description says "Permanent and waterproof" in a couple of places - only a very small subset of the de Atrementis ink line fits that description - most of it is not waterproof at all. Just FYI.

I use inks to write (most are waterproof) but some inks are nice to use as a wash when I'm drawing.

The vendor informed us that the group's order was picked up and is on its way to our warehouse. Based on the tracking provided, the order is scheduled to arrive 2/23.

elimelendezThis was my first purchase from Massdrop. I purchased one other item some time after and have already received it. Saving $5.00 but having to wait several months isn't worth it to me. This is will probably be my last purchase here.
