Product Description
Created for astronauts in 1965, the Fisher Bullet Space Pen is arguably the most recognizable pen of the 20th century. Capable of writing in a wide range of temperatures (-30 to 250°F), underwater, at any angle, and even upside down, the pen is equipped with a tip that consists of an ultra-hard tungsten carbide ball encased in a precision steel socket Read More
I LOVE these pens, been using them for years! When America started their Space Program they spent a lot of money to develop a pen that would write in zero G, the Russians opted for a different solution, they brought a pencil!
I know and already knew plus already people have given me a hard time about this, it is a funny way to tell the story and I will continue to tell it this way!
Great product. Only unfortunate thing for me is that for some inexplicable reason I keep losing mine. But when I do have them, they are some of the best pens to use.
These pens function flawlessly and easily stow in your pocket so you can EDC without issue. The writing flows easily. Sometimes I wish the tip was a bit finer but overall I have not had much reason to complain about that. I have them in 3 different finishes now: Matte Black, Chrome, and Black Titanium Nitride. The Matte Black will pick up some dings in the finish over time, especially for me because it gets thrown in with pocket change constantly. It's not a big deal, it has a brass color that shows through on the spots where the matte black paint has chipped off, but I consider it patina. The others have not had this issue. The black titanium nitride is my favorite, though, because even jingling around with loose change for months and months it hasn't picked up a single ding or significant scratch. The finish is still as bright and shiny as the day it was new, which means it's always looking sharp and ready to impress. I wish the nitride finishes didn't cost so much, but it's been well worth the investment to me.
I really adore these Fisher Space Pen products for their reliability. Can always count on them to work no matter what. Decent gift. Refills are also priced well for the quality.
These were so great to have in a single fold wallet, they would fit perfectly in the crease and be gripped so tight they never fell out. Always having a pen on hand is ridiculously handy!
