I do. I own several of their stationary pads with matching envelopes - in pink and cream. Their products are in my top 3 favorite stationary brands. I'm super excited about this drop. I'm buying the rose one.
Edited to add: I write only with fountain pens. It doesn't feather, holds both wet and dry ink well, and I've been successful with a variety of nibs - from EF to stub.
EricaTxThank you!!! I've been a Crane stationary girl all my life, but this looks like high caliber stuff, at a good price ( I compared on line). In fact, I added a box of the Champagne to my order because I like it too, and when looking online it was the ONE color that I could not find offered anywhere else! Honestly, it was hard to choose. I liked all the colors a lot except for the white and extra-white - too plain - and raspberry - pretty, but, imo, too dark for writing. My usual is to go with cream/ivory, so thought I'd try something else, and green is my favorite color.
EricaTxOkay, scratch that... looking again, I had trouble deciding between blue, lavender, pistachio, champagne and rose. I didn't care for the other colors, except for ivory, and I have a lot of ivory stationery already.
I bought my box elsewhere and they are the best note cards I own. They love fountain pens, it is almost a sin to use anything less than a gold nib on them. They make lovely thank you cards and even better resignation letters. This is a great price, too.
FatestormI have two boxes of these on my desk. They are great for short notes, saying hello, or--if you are talented--could be used for dinner party invitations, holiday invitations, etc. The paper itself is almost a card stock, but with a laid finish that is nice and offers some feedback with fine writing instruments. The envelopes are not as heavy, but still quite nice feeling. Handles fountain pen ink very well. Recommended.
Jazzmanbesides the obvious black, I would think that dark brown would work nicely, and perhaps a really dark red. Of course, I'm thinking of fountain pen inks; in gel pens you would have the whole option of opaque lighter colors (such as white or silver) available.
They replied completely unsatisfactorily and made the situation worse. Previously I had cards in the absolute incorrect color and thought we'd just exchange this box for a box of the correct color. After several evermore contentious eMails from your colleagues, I now have a Box of expensive cards in the incorrect color, absolute disdain for Massdrop and the astonishingly unprofessional way this was handled.
MrKitty73I've been seeing a lot of unhappy comments like this. It's always a shame and a concern when a good thing outlives its usefulness.
This outfit is going down because of its people not a faulty concept or bad market conditions.
Luke5403I can't speak for MrKitty's situation of course, but the support I've gotten from Massdrop has been aces the few times I've had to deal with them. They're a bit slow I reckon, but that aside super helpful in my experience. Maybe this is an issue with a new CS Manger or a specific CSA...
The G. Lalo Verge de France pads are my personal favorite. I am a big fan of the laid finish: it just feels more substantial, with the right amount of texture. It is not going to be as smooth as, say, Clairefontaine, but I prefer the feedback of writing on the G. Lalo paper. I generally use a rolling writer or felt pens, and have no experience with fountain pens on this paper.
I have not tried this particular stationery, but if it is a laid finish by G. Lalo, it should be very high quality.
No. This will be my first experience with them, but I love stationery items. And I fell I love with that Pistachio color! Though I was tempted by the Champagne, as it's the one color I could not find for sale on line anywhere else. I have heard very good things about their products and I think I will get a lot of use out them. Love the Art Deco box too!
