Was pleasantly surprised with the smoothness of the nib and the flow of ink. Very nice looking pen as well. Only thing is the threads on the barrel randomly loosen, so having to constantly tighten it is annoying.. but for the price, manageable.
I purchased the Regal James (red) version of this pen, and while the grip is a little more narrow than I prefer, the writing experience is pretty smooth. I was happily surprised by my purchase. Until 2 weeks later when my fingers were covered in ink every time I used the pen.
After wiping around the section and nib area, I discovered that the section was leaking at the point where the metal meets the plastic part of the section. There's nowhere I can see to fix this or plug up the leak, so I'm afraid two weeks was all I was able to get out of this pen.
Ultimately, I'm very disappointed with this product!
Bought it for my wife. Some frustration because there was no converter included. Found one that fits and did very little tuning to the nib. Writes smoothly with every ink my wife has had me fill it with, from Noodler's, Diamine, Pilot, and Organics Studio.
