How's the sound signature of the BA drivers from your perspective? Is the bass a rounded and smoother "punchy" kind of air movement, or more of a sharper "strike"? I can probably then get a rough estimate of the sound signature if I can get an idea of how 64 audio's drivers sound like. I personally own TF10 pro (my golly the new TriFi was astonishingly great btw), so if it is at all possible, if you can feed us with a little wee bit more info on the drivers relative to the TF10, that would be highly appreciated.
Kudos to you for helping the drop community out with all the info!
Even the APEX technology would be similar and this older U series would support both ADEL and APEX.
Bass to me is rounded and smoother "punchy". It is not sharp. I've a dynamic driver (DD) IEM and a Dynamic driver/BA hybrid IEM and to my ears, the bass isn't much different from a pure dynamic driver or hybrid iems. The 64audio iems that have 4 drivers for low end has sufficient rumble in the sub-bass region, good texture and good quality and not just quantity. Also it doesn't overpower the mids. The tuning is done very well. Kudos to 64audio.
The quality of the product and a very pleasant/supportive customer service is also a plus. Very professional, knowledgeable and very prompt.
The highs and lows could extend a bit more on the U12. That's more of a recommendation for future improvement and not a negative. U12 with S1 sounds congested and sometimes veiled. In some songs it might be more aggressive too. But with MAM, B1 etc, it is incredible.
Right now 64audio has the equivalent of S1 module in APEX. Waiting to see the other modules showing up in the coming months. Especially the equivalent of MAM. MAM can be tuned to replicate the other modules (more or less) and the real plus is the ability to tune each ear differently to get the similar sound. Each of our ears are different and MAMs help a lot.
Even with MAMs the sound doesn't leak out. So no need to worry about disturbing others.
A person like you, who has done extensive research equipped with a well-round understanding of 64audio products, and decided to go with the U4-SE with B1 module, this gives me a good boost of confidence level in clicking that Join Drop button now with the same item selected.
Thanks a lot for the descriptive info RM44!
Also note that I've the S1 module and MAM to use with U4-SE as needed. But I feel that B1 should be a good pair up with U4-SE. Eagerly waiting for it to be shipped out. Adding modules over time isn't a problem, if needed.
