Beyond that, I own both this game and Near and Far. I love Ryan Laukat's work! This game plays best with 3-4. The 2-player game play is a little bit lack-luster since the cards available to be built for your city don't recycle very quickly with only 2 people building and there being both above ground and below ground structures. This game may also be played using workers from Near and Far (which are double-sided).
If you're a fan of "Choose your own Adventure" books, and also like board games, this is a good buy (except for the price difference not being substantial...)

BallsleonExcellent game, even with just two players. Trading obviously becomes less of a mechanic if there's only one person you're opposing.

BallsleonI have played this game quite a bit with 2. I would say it’s still really good, but the game definitely plays better with 3 or 4.
