Great for hiking and trail running in the fall, winter, and spring, the Adidas Terrex Agravic GTX shoes offer extraordinary durability and stability in a fairly lightweight package. The waterproof, breathable Gore-Tex lining keeps your feet dry and comfortable, while the Boost midsole helps you push your limits with more energy return than any other foam cushioning material Read More
I want to give everyone a heads up that the lugs on the Men's Black and Blue colors are slightly different. The Blue Agravic has a deeper lug pattern. Because there is more rubber on the sole, it will be slightly heaver and the Boost cushioning won't be as apparent out of the box. Both colors do in fact use the same amount of Boost, the difference in lug height simply changes the feel. If you are using these for thru-hiking, the difference will negligible, however, if you are using these for trail running, the deeper lugs will have a noticeable effect. The Blue lug pattern is the Trail King tire tread, the Black is Der Kaiser (http://www.continental-tires.com/bicycle/tyres/mountainbike-tyres/der-baron).
Is the shown sizing guide correct?? US Mens size 9 purchased last time and normally I'm a 42.5. Size 9 US Mens doesn't match up at all in this table? Seems a good couple of sizes too low: https://www.adidas.co.nz/help-topics-size_charts.html
I wear a size 11 with slightly wide feet. Can anyone speak on their sizing/fit. I hear they run large but don't feel like going down to 10.5 due to my foot width. Thanks
BrianS550Brian - Adidas philosophy on pronation/ supination as that it can best be controlled by securing the heel. Technically, all adidas shoes are neutral, which is strange when comparing them to traditional running shoe brands, that being said, they invest a lot of thought into the heel cup of the shoe. If you notice the silhouette, you will see a TPU reinforced heel in the midsole. This helps control pronation.
The pictures provided show a inconsistency with the tread pattern - see the blue/green model and compare the two pictures of the rubber soles. One is more spiky then the other - which one is it?
