I have not built many models. However, after having been on computers since the 1990's(and earlier technically), and having been exposed to the art of soldiering due to some of the Massdrop keyboard kits, I have found a certain zen in being old fashioned by working on things with your hands, either with the iron, or with a paint brush I assume.
Considering this comes with the paints, the glue, and a brush, it looks like one does not need to invest in a lot of extra equipment. Although I'm sure it would come in handy. It seems like the perfect way to get get into this, and frankly, with the price (cheaper than ebay, all you amazon cut and pasters), does it really matter if you screw it up royally?

I am really looking forwards to spending a lot of time putting this kit together, and at the price, the hourly cost of keeping busy and practicing another skill is likely to be worth the expense. I really hope that others will get around to buying or committing soon, and spend some time away from the screen. Maybe Massdrop will then put more of this sort of thing up on occasion.
Are my eyes deceiving me? Two model kits in the hobby shop section in the same month!? But alas no Spitfire in any scale. Maybe this one will gain traction, too bad the sign up screen stops guests from seeing the items, otherwise I would make a post on reddit.
