So not only did it take until today from the 19th to get delivered, but it has a $40 fee on top of the $252 I pad after taxes for headphones plus shipping. This is absolute b.s.

myamazingnewprofileyes that happened to me as well. The very smart Massdrop guys placed the value right on top of the box so CBSA had their share.

tirusPlacing a value on the package is required for some if not most countries if they are international shipments, customs fee isn't massdrops fault, you should find out what the customs rule is for your specific area, no matter where you buy an item over the customs fee threshold they will charge you so its not just massdrop that does it. If you're lucky you might slip pass.
2 weeks is standard time for most international shipments as well and anything faster cost hella lot more. Were you expecting overnight or something?

MD doesn't charge tax for items that go outside the US (as far as I know). So the price you paid is the converted USD value (I'm assuming $CAD, then whatever fee paypal/your CC charges you for foreign transaction fee)
And as someone pointed out, about 10 days is the norm even from the US. Sometimes it comes in as low as 7, but that's the quickest I've ever had from the US on expedited/parcel delivery that's non-express.
