Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. The replacement came, and the issue is still persistant, so I am not sure what the issue is I've tried multiple different headsets and the issue is not with the port, and I also tried it with my windows laptop and...

Macbook Air iTunes12 + Amarra O2 + ODAC
Simply, these sound magnificent. Comparing them to my (closed back) Sennheiser HD25-1 II, these are crystal clear, the bass level is pleasing, and vocals are stunning -- Well balanced sound and incredible soundstage. Played James Blake, SBTRKT, Purity Ring, Disclosure, CHVRCHES, Caribou on them so far. (So as someone who loves electronic pop/british dub, these are so, so very good). For $200, these are an absolute steal -- I had been eyeing the Senn HD650s, but with these, I feel no need because they're so excellent. No rattling, build quality is excellent - these feel like air and are extremely comfortable. Did experience some treble fatigue, but hoping that goes away with burn-in. I will say that these do require a good amount of power even with the O2 amp - my senn hd25 iis only need 1x gain and about 1/3 on my volume knob to get to comfortable levels, but the AKG's need 2.5x gain and about halfway on the volume knob to get to a good listening level (this is probably due to closed back vs. open back).
Thank you Massdrop, these are spectacular!
