Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. For the past month we have been testing out having the AKG K7XX live all the time with a fast turn around time using the units we had in our warehouse from the last production run. That went great, but now we've gone and run out of stock.
So starting tomorrow it's going to be a K7XX "classic" drop. This means we're doing a whole new production run for everyone who joins the group. It also means classic shipping times that come with having to actually produce a few thousand pairs of headphones. Given historical production times and the quotes from the factory, we're estimating that these will ship out just after July. Because of the longer wait, we'll be adding a $10 coupon to the account of anyone who joins the group. You can use it on any other drop in the future and it will be applied automatically at checkout.
Once we have the group's order, we'll be tacking on some extras to bring the daily store back. For those of you who don't like wait times, but can wait until later.
Cheers, Mike
