Wow, pretty irritating that the black ones were re-released 2 weeks after I bought the stupid red ones. At least they sound fantastic. That's all that really counts.
Are they still limited edition at this point?

Timmehhertzwith the red version you get a lower series number, which may seems better for some.

TimmehhertzLimited in a sense that you can only get them thru Massdrop and not limited production. You can count that this won't be the last drop for the black version and they will make another drop for the red version. I wouldn't be concerned about the serial numbers as they really don't mean anything to many.
