densmaNowhere near. I have both, and the other person doesn't know what they are talking about.. The cables on these are so terrible they stopped working in about 3 months.. Besides that, the soundstage is much better on the shp9500 and unless you are a base freak, you'll like them better in all regards, comfort or sound.

NoobamongstnoobsYou're right, I am just stupid, deaf and can't compare them directly even though I've had both at the same time. M220 PRO can outperform SHP9500 on velour pads, sorry but that's the way the things are. sghoundI've encouraged people on polish audio forum forum.mp3store.pl to try them on velour pads and make direct confrontation with SHP9500. Almost all of both Philips and M220 owners agreed with my claim. Although I've used EDT-T1V earpads at the end for the best possible result.
