AKRacing 2018 Wide Series Chairs – Massdrop Debut

It’s 2018 and gamers are demanding more than ever in their seat of choice. To meet those demands, AKRacing is rolling out brand-new new models, three of which are offered here. Each chair in the Wide Models is built for big and tall gamers. With extra foam, a wider base, and larger seats and backrests, they’re designed for maximum support. All chairs are built on a solid metal foundation with high-density mould-shaping foam and a class-four gas lift that supports up to 330 pounds (400 pounds on the MAX Models). They’ve also got 3D-adjustable armrests (4D on the MAX and Pro Models), a tilt lock, and an adjustable recline all the way back to 180 degrees. The backbone of the 2018 Wide Models, the EX-Wide chair is supported by a full-metal frame with anti-corrosive black paint. It features all the quality features you’d look for in an adjustable chair—3D-adjustable armrests, 180 degrees of recline, a class-4 gas lift, high-density mould-shaping foam, etc—plus fabric upholstery to cover it all. It also supports users with a BMI up to 35 (recommended), but can be used by those a bit higher, too. The result of all these features is a comfortable, durable, and sleek-looking chair that you can’t go wrong with.

The largest in the lineup, the MAX Models supports up to 400 pounds and BMIs up to 42 and over. It features everything found in the EX-Wide Models, plus a flat seat for added comfort, 4D-adjustable armrests as opposed to 3D, and comfy pleather upholstery for a nicer look and feel. Also notable is the rock-it-and-lock-it mechanism that allows you to secure the chair in place when tilting back.

The top of the line is the Pro Models. Like you’d expect, it’s got all the best features of an AKRacing chair—including 4D-adjustable armrests, a tilt lock, a class-4 gas lift, and more—plus 70 percent more cold-cured foam for a cushy, more supportive feel. The pleather is also perforated for breathability. All that function rests atop wider 3-inch casters for smooth rolling and support.
