Protect your floor and complement your gaming chair at the same time with the AKRacing circular floor mat. It's made from thick, smooth polyester that’s easy to clean and won’t inhibit your chair from moving Read More
Oddly enough I kinda like this cuz the low plush carpet we're using sucks, and it's very comfortable on bare feet. Also I actually like it kinda keeps my chair in place, since the plastic carpet protector usually makes me have to shuffle the chair back and forth when I get up. *shrug* It's nice and I like it :3
There needs to be square one too. Any mat that I purchase has to go partially under my desk and I don't sit in the exact middle of my desk either. There are drawers on my right side, so if I got this mat, I would be in the upper right 'corner' of it. Probably almost off of it..
A 45" square mat would be excellent. I would buy that. Maybe make the print out of the light-absorbing ink so that it glows at night. That would be cool.
For those with hardwood floors, skip this silly mat and get rollerblade style caster wheels instead. You can pick up a set of 3" casters for on Amazon (all the brands are equally good), or even a set of 2" locking casters (perfect for use with a wheel and pedals), for only ~$20.
GrayCroweThis are the locking casters I got: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0716XS58X/ They seem to be out of stock at the moment, but were only $20 when I ordered them a few months ago. They've been working great for locking my chair when I want to use my wheel and pedals, though the edges of the brake levers aren't as smooth as I'd like - I should really take some sandpaper to them to smooth them out.
There's also this one available for $30: https://www.amazon.com/DGQ-Office-Chair-Caster-Wheels/dp/B076WBNPFV/ Those have 3" wheels, unlike the 2.5" wheels on the ones I got.
I also got these non-locking casters for $18 for other chairs: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07HFCK3HJ/ I feel like the non-locking ones are all the same, so I just went with the cheapest I could find. They've held up for the past two months.
3.25 feet seems small. I mean with the added skills I gain with this I'll be doing my happy dance in my chair alot....this needs to be double the size.
Jokes aside...this is seriously too small and I'd absolutely order it if it were bigger.
Seems much too small to be practical, to be honest. Much of the concerns around floor damage stem from chair movement, which is something one with one of these would naturally want to avoid to keep from hitting the edge and rolling it up with the chair legs. As others have said - another eight inches in diameter and you'd have a decent product for enthusiasts here.
i wouldnt bother with this. I got one off the last drop and its to small. I mean, if you NEVER want to move your chair you'll be fine. Otherwise the wheels just get caught up on the edges and rolls it up. This really needs to be about 8" longer around the outside to be a great map.
