Say 3 years from now the upholstery starts flaking away, is that covered by the warranty to get it fixed/replaced?

AraujoYes it is, they call it out specifically in this thread. 5 years on the chair, including the fabric/upholstery.
gdoteof@Araujo @gdoteof is correct :)

Michael_So if the Pleather starts flaking away right where you sit after 3 years you guys will send a whole new seat/bottom part?
kandilarovYes we will replace if this happens. However we don't expect this to happen at all & i'd be kind of shocked if i come across a case like because we use the highest grade PU leather. You really only see this happen when a company is using really low grade PU Leather.

Michael_You say that and i believe you but the regular website (https://www.akracing.com/warranty-policies/) says that "
  • Normal wear and tear, which are to be expected over the course of ownership." isn't covered. Wouldn't you consider the Pleather starting to fall apart/tear wear and tear or no? How can i guarantee your word that you guys will replace it? Thanks for the quick reply :)

Michael_Are you going to reply to me ? Please i'm curious about my question before i purchase this product :) Thanks
kandilarovI apologize, we are a bit busy today at the office. Yes i've already answered this, we will take care of you and we do NOT expect our PU leather to flake away. Again, I'd be shocked if this happened, as we use the highest grade PU leather.
kandilarovNormal wear and tear is a purposely subjective phrase that is in every furniture warranty I know of. It is to protect companies from unreasonable consumer demands. Like "my chair has a dimple in the seat and it never goes away" or "my upholstery has scratches in it" ; both of these are examples of normal wear and tear after some time.
