The other, and most important issue was that I bought it to hold my field notes in (like in the pictures advertising this) and it doesn't it! The strap of leather that used to secure the field notes isn't wide enough. I do not want to trim the back cover of the field notes for this to fit. It's off. by a mm or two. Here's a pic:
As for the concerns regarding the thread durability, we are extremely selective with our materials. The thread is actually incredibly strong, and uv resistant for durability over time. Will be posting a video soon of two adults playing tug of war with one of our bags. The type of thread we use is commonly used in sails which must endure the elements as well as constant extreme force. While it's not as thick as threads used in other items you've seen, it is in many cases stronger and more durable due to the quality of materials, and the structure of the thread.
