The Alpina Alpiner Chronograph Automatic is a good balance of function and grace. On the functionality side, it’s got lumed hands and markers, a chronograph that tracks up to 12 hours, a date window, and a telemeter scale, which can be used to measure how far away a sound is—like a bolt of lightning or a gunshot Read More
THE WRONG WATCH WAS DELIVERED.
The WRONG model (watch) was delivered! I chose AL-750N4E6 (the white dial with steel bracelet)- but was sent the BLUE dialed version with cheap leather strap - which was not even an option! I want the watch I ordered!!
I did not join the drop cause the one I wanted (white dial metal strap) had the code wrong and I was not sure if they will send the serial number one or the pictures one. Could someone confirm when they receive it? Thanks
I just received the blue-dialed version with stainless bracelet. I have small wrists, and it's nice, definitely not too large (or small). I'm surprised by how much I like this watch. It'll probably be the one that gets worn more than the others combined.
Alpaca Alpiner Alpina
(and I like to imagine Moses saying it aloud, but with a heavy Spanish accent)
Wordplay aside, though. It's a pretty great watch, particularly at the sub-$1K price point. Kudos to Alpina for making it a reasonable size.

I owned this watch - the silver w/ gray subdials - and regret selling it. Classic look. Great dial designs. Size is on the money. I paid over $1500 for it a few years back. They're currently available on Amazon for under $650.
Wow! Next time someone brags about how good "value for money" a Glycine Airman at 600 USD is, I'll direct them to this drop!
Well done MD, this is superb VFM, only wish I wasn't broke on a Seiko Presage LE this month already...
