On the heels of the award-winning Altra Superior 2.0, the Superior 3.0 has everything we loved about its predecessor, plus a few notable improvements. Elastic overlays increase durability in the upper and a subtle lateral flare on the outsole lugs maximizes grip. The removable StoneGuard rock protection means you’re covered on all terrain, whether you’re trail running, hiking, backpacking, or off-road racing. And in response to feedback from the community, the 3.0 also has more accurate sizing. The company’s proprietary Zero Drop platform ensures an ideal weight balance from heel to forefoot, helping you maintain proper form across long distances, while the FootShape toe box encourages natural toe splay for comfort and stability.
Note: At checkout, choose the men’s shoes in black or navy/black, or the women’s shoes in blue/lime. Available sizes vary by color.
Altra was born in the back room of a Wasatch Mountains running store, where owner Golden Harper met countless runners who complained of knee pain, shin splints, and other injuries from traditional pointed toe boxes and thick, heavy heels. A competitive runner himself, Golden began experimenting with shoe alterations to solve his customers’ problems. By melting the outsoles (in his trusty toaster oven!), he was able to remove the excess heel elevation for a more natural, relaxed foot position. The new platform design was dubbed Zero Drop.
All orders will be shipped by Massdrop.
