BorntoRageIf you want the Torin 2.5 in size 14 you can get it from Amazon for +$25 : https://www.amazon.com/Altra-Mens-Torin-Running-Yellow/dp/B01B71TBBO/?th=1&psc=1 though perhaps not in the color you want.
I should mention that the top reviews for the 2.5 actually recommend the 2.0 instead, and you can get that from Amazon as well for +$5 : https://www.amazon.com/Altra-Mens-Torin-running-Insignia/dp/B00S8LMJZW/?th=1&psc=1
I researched Altra shoes when Massdrop listed one of the earlier Provision models and even had them in size 14, but I wasn't sure I would like them, or if the size would be correct. Massdrop officially doesn't allow returns and depending on the shoe I might need a larger size or a wide version. I ended up buying the Provision 3s in size 14 and they were a perfect fit. The toe box is nice and roomy but the shoe overall feels very stable and comfortable. I've read elsewhere that the Torin 2.0 is also good in that way.
I have wide flat feet and usually wear NEW BALANCE for running. How do these TORIN 2.5 compare?? Like the tox box idea? Please share experience? Love new balance but can be pricey!
radioguy89You might check our the Altra Paradigm as the they have the widest toe box of the Altra line. Not all Altra's have the same width toe box. Otherwise you may need to resort to thinner insoles and or thinner socks.
radioguy89i have wide ball and toes but narrow heels; my PT says i have the flattest feet she's ever seen! you can easily swap the insole for orthotics if you need to, but i found them to be quite supportive. these are the ONLY non-sandal (love my Vionics) my toes feel really good in. i think you'll probably be very happy with them.
Does anyone know how the sizing on the Torins compare with the Altra Lone Peaks? I wear an 8.5 in the Lone Peak 2.5's and I've tried on the Lone Peak 3.0's and size 8.5 worked for me too.
AlyoshaI can't say that I've tried the Lone Peaks, but I haven't seen problems with the same size in any of the Altra models I've used. They seem pretty similar to me.
Fantastic timing. My Torins are getting up there in miles and I'm ready to get a new set so I can break them in before the old ones break down.
Best running shoes I've ever used.
