Quilt designer Amy Friend is sharing five of her quilt pattern creations featuring geometric shapes in striking variegated arrangements. Beginners can make her Cinched pattern that has primary and secondary designs and is made of two jelly rolls: a print and a solid. Also a jelly roll quilt, the Interlock pattern is a zig-zagging illusion that’s easy to assemble and looks great in all fabrics. The Melon Ice pattern, at once modern and traditional, is made with large scale paper-pieced blocks. You’ll need some general knowledge of paper piecing to make the Pointed Statement pattern, which is a predominance of triangles with a palette of five solids. Lastly, the Garden Stroll pattern brings flowers to the forefront by incorporating substantial negative space.
Note: At checkout, choose two patterns from the following five: Cinched, Garden Stroll, and Interlock.
