should i buy adapters for better quality??
VeeKingTL;DR - Y adapter for console gaming. USB is recommended but not the end of the world if you skip it.
The Y adapter (any) is only needed if you plan on using the mic on consoles or require a combined port (like a smartphone). I strongly recommend the USB adapter if you do not have a DAC. It will boost signal by providing dedicated power and remove the EMI likely generated by your motherboard. A good motherboard may not have a noticeable difference with using the USB but I am not aware of any cases where the USB performed worse.
That all said, it all depends on how much you care about your audio quality! For a few users the EMI is bad enough that its required. For most its a background hum you can hear if you listen to it, but most people won't notice (especially among the normal noise of gaming). However, the moment you get into recording, streaming, or doing anything where you really want to sound great (like making business calls) - get a USB or a real DAC :)
